Clay Portraiture Workshop - Discover the art of sculpting realistic and expressive portraits

Discover the art of sculpting realistic and expressive clay portraits in this immersive 3-session Clay Portraiture Workshop

Clay Portraiture Workshop

This hands-on course invites students to create a lifelike sculpture of a live model, focusing on the head, neck, and shoulders while exploring the underlying structures that contribute to the unique features of the human face. Throughout the workshop, participants will work from a live model and study the skull and facial musculature to understand better the forms and contours that give each face its distinct appearance. By delving into the anatomical makeup of the head and face, students will develop the skills necessary to craft a convincing and realistic sculpture. The Clay Portraiture Workshop is open to individuals of all experience levels. Beginners will be guided step-by-step through the process of creating a piece they can be proud of, while more advanced students will be encouraged to deepen their understanding of the subject and infuse their work with expression and likeness, capturing the true essence of the model. Three sessions:
